Bald Mountain Road Sale To Bank Leads Bernardston's Latest Deed Recordings
Twelve deeds were recorded in Bernardston between Aug. 14 and Sept. 12, but only three carried a disclosed sale price, ranging from $12,928 to $345,500 with a median of $50,000. The month's top transaction was 189 Bald Mountain Road, sold for $345,500 on Sept. 4 by Jordan DiGeorge to Greenfield Cooperative Bank; a companion deed at the same address, filed the same day, listed no price. Banks, credit unions or federal housing agencies appeared as buyer or seller in nine of the 12 deeds. With most sale prices undisclosed, the data offers only a partial picture of the period's market conditions.
